Ninki Nanka, 2023

Ninki Nanka, was a collaborative effort between Afrikana, OA JET Productions, and VPM, and served as Oakwood Arts' annual OA JET training project. Written by revel denkyem-zachary, winner of Afrikana's inaugural screenwriter's competition, Ninki Nanka is inspired by the West African folklore about a large, mysterious, and dangerous creature who resides in the swamps surrounding the Republic of Gambia. The film was directed by LeRon Lee, with Cinematography by Kunitari Ohi, and the First Assistant Director was Liz Silver. Starring Noelle Ramsey, Jonathan Copeland, Doc Jana & John Gordon.
